大地館

大地館名稱取自大地之母蓋婭,比喻礦山資源豐饒。常設展以「透視礦山」為主題,彰顯礦山因成礦的特殊地質地形、北海岸淺山生態與礦業文化交互影響,創造出獨特的場域深度;再從巨觀與微觀的多元敘事軸線,展示礦山環境與人之間的緊密關係。

大地館全新展示「透視礦山」共分為 3 個展區,1 樓設置礦石造型意象大廳;2 樓建置 5G 科技體驗空間,提供 4 組 VR 頭盔,讓民眾體驗「深入坑道」虛擬探險之旅;同時規劃 10 公尺長的互動投影牆,民眾可以利用手機進行「流金拾光」互動遊戲;3 樓展示礦石與蕨類等實物與標本共計 30 件,從巨觀與微觀角度,呈現礦山地質、地理所交織出的複雜網絡,以及人與自然之間的緊密關係。整體展示呼應聯合國永續發展指標,傳達永續環境的理念。

The Good Earth Pavilion derives its name from Gaia, the Earth Mother, symbolizing the abundance of mineral resources. Its permanent exhibition, "Perspectives on Mines," highlights the unique geological formations due to mineral deposits and the interplay of the North Coast's shallow mountain ecology and mining culture, creating a distinctive depth of place. Through both macro and micro narratives, it showcases the close relationship between the mining environment and humanity.

The "Perspectives on Mines" exhibition at The Good Earth Pavilion is divided into three sections:

- First Floor: Featuring an ore-inspired lobby with a dynamic light and shadow art installation made from locally collected plastic waste.

- Second Floor: A 5G technology experience space with four VR headsets offering a virtual tunnel exploration adventure. There's also a 10-meter-long interactive projection wall where visitors can play the "Golden Memories" game with their phones, learning about the mineral knowledge of the Shuijinjiu area through the gameplay.

- Third Floor: Displaying 30 specimens, including ores and ferns, from both macro and micro perspectives, presenting the complex network of geology and geography, and the close relationship between humans and nature. The overall exhibition echoes the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, conveying the concept of sustainable environments.

一樓空間中懸掛著 14 種各異的礦石晶體結構,這些承載美感及教育意涵的裝置藝術,呼應了大地館作為礦藏知識中心的主題。

In the space on the first floor, 14 different mineral crystal structures are suspended as installation art. These installations are not only visually appealing but also educational, echoing the Earth Pavilion's theme as a center of mineral knowledge.

礦山進行式 A Lava Well of Reflexivity

《礦山進行式》做為黃金博物館大地館的入口大廳迎賓裝置藝術,以礦石斷面的桌體造型呈現,結合緩慢設計 (slow design) 的呈現手法,透過難以讓人覺察的外觀變化,回應物質性上隨著時間和地質構造運動所引發礦石在形式與質地上的潛移默化,將我們對於礦石最熟悉的表面粗糙質感和堅硬的晶體幻化為具有時間性的流動影像。這些影像既非實體可觸亦非永恆不變,象徵礦石之於我們看似不變,實為經歷數千年地貌變動與地殼擠壓而成。

我們將金瓜石山上現地採集來的人造垃圾(如塑膠袋、寶特瓶、包裝袋等)置入此礦石造型桌中,藉由桌體內部旋轉燈光照映垃圾所形成在桌體裝置表面緩緩流動的熔岩意象,傳達出礦山之美需要我們共同珍惜與維護的信息。經由這樣的解構與重構手法,作品期待觀者以微觀的視角探索腳下這片大地的驚奇與宏偉,同時反思我們對自然環境的影響與責任。

The installation serves as a welcoming art piece in the entrance hall of the Pavilion. Shaped like the cross-section of a mineral table, it employs slow design principles to manifest subtle, almost imperceptible changes in appearance. This approach responds to the gradual transformations in form and texture caused by the passage of time and geological movements, transforming the familiar rough surface texture and hard crystals of minerals into dynamic images that flow with temporality. These images are neither tangible nor eternal, symbolizing that while minerals seem unchanging to us, they are actually the result of thousands of years of topographical shifts and tectonic pressures.

We have embedded man-made waste (such as plastic bags, PET bottles, packaging materials, etc.) collected from the mountains of Jinguashi into this mineral-shaped table. By illuminating the waste within the table with rotating lights, a slowly flowing lava image is projected onto the surface of the installation, conveying the message that the beauty of the mountains needs to be cherished and protected by all of us. Through this method of deconstruction and reconstruction, the artwork invites viewers to explore the wonders and grandeur of the land beneath their feet from a microscopic perspective while reflecting on our impact and responsibility towards the natural environment.

深入坑道—VR 虛擬實境體驗 Deep into the Mine: VR Experience

VR 展示間規劃了一列礦業台車座位,當觀眾坐上台車,戴上 VR 眼鏡,便一腳踏入了虛實交錯的奇幻坑道。觀眾乘著台車出發,沿著軌道往坑道深處前進。經過資訊接觸點時,會有語音導覽介紹坑道設施與礦業歷史,並在過程中穿插互動式關卡。例如:指引點亮空中的磺火燈、操作旋轉玩賞礦石、引爆挖礦點等。使體驗過程兼具知識與樂趣。

VR 體驗旅程前半段以知識故事敘述為主,後半段設計為深度沉浸體驗,引領民眾前往現實中已無法進入的坑道底部,觀眾置身奇幻的黃金宇宙空間,周圍漂浮著金沙與各式礦石,中央則是熊熊燃燒的大金礦,觀眾像是乘坐雲霄飛車般穿梭在大小金礦間,挑戰在時限內打撈最多的金沙。

The VR exhibition features a row of mining carts with seats. When visitors sit in the carts and put on VR headsets, they step into a fantastical tunnel that blends reality and virtual worlds. As the cart moves deeper into the tunnel, audio guides provide information on the mining history and tunnel facilities at various points. Interactive elements are interspersed, such as lighting floating sulfur lamps, rotating to view minerals, and detonating mining spots. This makes the experience both educational and enjoyable.

The first half of the VR journey focuses on storytelling and knowledge, while the second half offers an immersive experience, taking visitors to the tunnel's deepest areas, which are inaccessible in reality. Here, they find themselves in a magical golden universe, surrounded by floating gold and minerals, with a massive burning gold mine at the center. Visitors navigate through the gold mines like a roller coaster, aiming to collect as much gold as possible within a time limit.

流金拾光 Back to the Golden Time

「流金拾光」是一個 10 米寬的高解析互動式投影裝置,運用 5G 科技媒體結合民眾個人智慧型手機,帶來震撼的視覺藝術體驗。

水金九地區以豐富的金礦資源與淘金文化享譽國際。除了金礦,還有多種珍稀礦藏。本單元聚焦於水金九地區四種具代表性的礦產:黃金(黃色)、硫砷銅礦(褐色)、黃鐵礦(橘黃色)與法馬丁礦(黃綠色),並將其以即時流體色粒視覺化,打造一面情境式大型互動投影牆。「淘金」是互動故事的核心,藉此引導觀眾認識水金九地區獨特的礦產資源與人文風情。

現場提供 5G WiFi,民眾可用手機連接並啟動互動網站介面。透過手機操作介面,觀眾可控制投影牆上的收集器進行「淘金」,打造屬於自己的礦石。淘金結束後,介面將分析所收集到的四種礦物比例,並展示其貴金屬現值。根據四種礦石比例,生成個人獨特的化合晶體模型(每位觀眾的模型皆不同)。晶體模型上有四個標示點,觀眾點選後可看到該礦石的高解析 3D 掃描數據模型。

本單元應用了 5G 技術,利用其高傳輸、低延遲的特性,不僅讓體驗更加即時與流暢,還能快速閱覽大量高解析度的礦物 3D 掃描數據。

“Back to the Golden Time" is a high-resolution interactive projection installation spanning 10 meters wide. It utilizes 5G technology, integrating personal smartphones to deliver a striking visual art experience.

The Shuijinjiu area is renowned internationally for its rich gold resources and gold mining culture. In addition to gold, the area boasts a variety of rare minerals. This exhibit focuses on four representative minerals from the Shuijinjiu region: gold (yellow), enargite (brown), pyrite (orange), and tennantite (yellow-green). These minerals are visualized through real-time fluid particle simulations, creating an immersive large-scale interactive projection wall. "Gold panning" serves as the core interactive story, guiding visitors to discover the unique mineral resources and cultural charm of the Shuijinjiu area.

On-site 5G WiFi is provided, allowing visitors to connect their smartphones and activate the interactive website interface. Through this interface, visitors can control the collectors on the projection wall to "pan for gold" and create their own minerals. After panning, the interface analyzes the proportions of the four collected minerals and displays the current value of the precious metals. Based on the proportions of the four minerals, a unique composite crystal model is generated for each visitor (with each model being unique). The crystal model has four marked points, which visitors can click to view high-resolution 3D scan data of the respective minerals.

This exhibit leverages 5G technology, utilizing its high transmission speed and low latency to provide a more immediate and smooth experience, while also enabling the rapid viewing of large volumes of high-resolution 3D mineral scan data.

三樓的常設展區,旨在透視北海岸礦山的形成過程,從地質和地理角度介紹山、水、聚落和植被之間的關係。通過展示30件礦石和蕨類實物及標本,民眾可以深入了解礦山的形成與演變,並認識到人與土地之間的互動結果。這些展品從巨觀和微觀的角度呈現了礦山地質與地理交織出的複雜網絡,揭示了人與自然之間的緊密關聯。

The 3F permanent exhibition aims to provide insight into the formation process of the North Coast's mining landscape by exploring the relationships between mountains, water, settlements, and vegetation from geological and geographical perspectives. By showcasing 30 specimens of minerals and ferns, visitors can gain a deeper understanding of the evolution of the mining area and the interactions between people and the land. These exhibits present a complex network of geological and geographical elements from both macro and micro perspectives, revealing the close connection between humans and nature.
